Iran (IMNA) - Addressing a session of the UN General Assembly, Nasser Asadi said the Islamic Republic of Iran exercises decisive and complete sovereignty over the three islands.
“These islands have always been, are, and will remain an inseparable part of Iran’s territory, and Iran’s sovereignty over them is not negotiable,” he said.

He also stressed that “Persian Gulf” is the only correct geographical name for the body of water between Iran and the Arabian Peninsula, noting that the name has been used throughout history and is recognized within the United Nations system.
