Punehzar waterfall in Fereydoun Shahr is one of the unknown landmarks of Isfahan province, which is welcomed by enthusiasts for its covered beaufitul moss walls and the pleasant environment.

Isfahan (IMNA) - Fereydoun shahr, located at 155 kilometers to the west of Esfahan, between the provinces of Lorestan and Chahar Mahal Bakhtiari, is a mountainous region with an area of ​​12,236  kilometers and a population of 455,908.

This town with a temperate and mountainous climate, has a lot of tourist attractions; Punehzar waterfall is one of the most beautiful places which is located in Punehzar valley, in the central Zagros valleys. This waterfall is called Punehzar for the abundance of a kind of HERB named “Pooneh” in this region.

Punehzar waterfall which has approximately 75 meters height is next to the village of Chogyurt (posht kuh). About half an hour's walk from the village of Darband is needed to reach there. Many of the wild and medicinal flowers in Iran can be find in this mountainous region. The springs in this area are also flowing toward the west of Iran and eventually form the sources of the Dez River. Lets enjoy the beauty of it!
