"Iran Holds US Responsible for Israel's Aggression on Palestinians in Gaza Strip"

Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman, Nasser Kan'ani, has accused the United States of being the primary responsible party for initiating and sustaining Israel's aggression against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip. During a weekly press briefing in Tehran, Kan'ani stated that the American government has been unwavering in its support for the Zionist regime through both words and actions.

Iran (IMNA) - Since the beginning of Israel's military operations in October, the US has been providing the regime with large-scale shipments of weapons, according to Kan'ani. He also criticized the United States for its inaction in the face of the international community's failure to address the Israeli regime's brutal attacks on Gaza over the past five months.

The Iranian spokesman further highlighted the "merely symbolic" nature of the US's recent humanitarian aid airdrop into Gaza, while simultaneously pointing out that Washington has vetoed three resolutions calling for an immediate end to the conflict in the besieged territory. Kan'ani described these measures as "ridiculous and bitter" attempts by the US to rectify and justify its warmongering policy.

Meanwhile, the Hamas-controlled government in Gaza has dismissed the US aid airdrop as theatrical and ineffective. The conflict has resulted in the deaths of at least 31,112 Palestinians, with 72,760 others wounded, and has devastated large parts of Gaza, destroyed hospitals, and displaced a significant proportion of the territory's 2.4 million population.

In other news from the briefing, Kan'ani addressed Iran's seizure of a US oil cargo carried by the Marshall Islands-flagged Advantage Sweet in the Persian Gulf. He attributed this action to the cruel sanctions imposed by the US administration, which have caused immense suffering for the Iranian people, particularly patients with special diseases who have been unable to receive life-saving medications.

Iran has also been sending humanitarian aid for Gazans through ports in Egypt, despite Israel's blockade on Gaza. However, Iranian officials have reported that Egyptian authorities have informed them that Israel has been preventing the aid from reaching the Palestinian people.

Lastly, Kan'ani emphasized Iran's commitment to regional stability and security, which he believes would benefit the international community and regional countries. He urged the US administration to stop accusing other nations and instead focus on halting Israel's "machine of mass killing."
