Iranian Pistachio Exports to EU Reach €92 Million in 2023

According to Eurostat, Iran's pistachio exports to EU countries saw a significant surge in 2023, exceeding €92 million.

Iran (IMNA) - The statistics agency reported a 17% year-on-year decrease in export value, dropping from €111 million in 2022. Top purchasers included Germany, Italy, and Spain. Notably, Iran and Turkey ranked as the second and third largest pistachio exporters to Europe, following the US.

The pistachio trees thrive in the arid soil of Iran, which allows them to produce flavorful and nutritious nuts. The kernels are light green in color and have a unique, slightly sweet taste that sets them apart from other varieties of pistachios.

Iranian pistachios are harvested by hand to ensure the highest quality. The nuts are carefully dried, sorted, and packaged for export, where they are enjoyed by people all over the world.

Pistachios from Iran are not only delicious but also packed with essential nutrients such as protein, fiber, and healthy fats. They are a popular snack choice for those looking for a nutritious and satisfying treat.

Whether eaten on their own, added to dishes, or used in desserts, Iran's pistachios are a sought-after ingredient that adds a rich and nutty flavor to any recipe. With their superior quality and taste, it's no wonder why Iranian pistachios are considered the best in the world.
