In a meeting with Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri in Beirut on Saturday, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian emphasized that war is not a solution to the Palestinian issue.

Calling for an immediate cessation of Israel's hostilities in Gaza, the minister highlighted that influential regional and international actors acknowledge the failure of Israel's brutal campaign, despite the unwavering support it receives from the United States.

In a recent statement, the Iranian foreign minister criticized Washington's alleged lack of commitment to resolving the conflict in the region. The minister also commented on the US and Britain's attacks on Yemen, referring to them as a "strategic mistake" that violated Yemen's national sovereignty and territorial integrity. He emphasized that these strikes only serve to exacerbate the crisis in the region and the Red Sea.

Furthermore, the minister stated that support for the Palestinian resistance is a central aspect of Iran's foreign policy agenda. He also praised Lebanon for its support for Palestine, expressing Tehran's commitment to promoting the political process and stability in Lebanon.

In a meeting held recently, Lebanese official Berri expressed gratitude to Iran for their continuous support towards Lebanon. He emphasized the need for increased efforts to bring an end to the ongoing war against the Palestinians and establish a lasting ceasefire. Furthermore, he stated that Beirut stands in full support of any agreement reached among the Palestinian groups to effectively govern the territories.

Additionally, during a separate meeting with Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati in Beirut on Saturday, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Amir-Abdollahian reiterated Iran's unwavering commitment to promoting stability within Lebanon.
