Palestinian Ministry Condemns Israeli Occupation's Devastating Impact on Gaza, 100 Days of Uninhabitable Conditions and Forced Displacement

In a statement issued on Sunday, the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates expressed grave concern over the dire situation in Gaza, highlighting the significant toll of the last 100 days under Israeli occupation. The statement emphasized that Gaza has become an uninhabitable place, witnessing immense death, destruction, displacement, hunger, loss, and grief. Approximately 2 million people have been forcibly displaced as a result of the Israeli occupation's horrific crimes.

The ministry also took the opportunity to reflect on the historical context, recalling the events of May 15, 1948, when Israeli forces forcibly evicted around 750,000 Palestinians from their land. These displaced individuals sought refuge primarily in the occupied West Bank, the Gaza Strip, and neighboring states. Shockingly, even today, almost 5 million Palestinians remain displaced and are denied the right to return to their homeland.
