Iranian Navy Commander Emphasizes Regional Security Dependence on Countries in the Region

In a meeting with commanders of a Pakistani flotilla, Rear Admiral Qader Vazifeh, commander of the first naval district of the Islamic Republic of Iran Navy, underscored that the guarantee of regional security lies solely in the hands of countries within the region.

Iran (IMNA) - The meeting took place in the southern Iranian port city of Bandar Abbas, where the Pakistani flotilla arrived on Saturday to strengthen peace and friendship between the neighboring nations.

Vazifeh highlighted that external forces harbor deep concerns over the unity among Muslim countries, reflecting their fear of a united front.

The Iranian commander emphasized the robust and active involvement of the Iranian naval forces in global affairs as they steadfastly safeguard national interests.

During a meeting, the commander highlighted the excellent relations between Iran and Pakistan, emphasizing the significance of educational and combat interactions between the two countries.

In response, the Pakistani flotilla commander praised the longstanding ties between Tehran and Islamabad and expressed optimism that the ongoing visit by Pakistani commanders would further enhance bilateral relations.

Moreover, the Iranian commander underlined Iran's crucial role in promoting regional and global peace and ensuring stability.

Meanwhile, the Pakistani defense attaché to Iran lauded the formidable Iranian Army Navy, noting their possession of state-of-the-art marine equipment.

Iran Navy Chief Visits Pakistan to Enhance Military Cooperation

In a move aimed at strengthening bilateral ties, Iranian Navy Commander Rear Admiral Shahram Irani recently embarked on a three-day visit to Pakistan. The visit comes as a result of an invitation extended by Chief of Pakistan's Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niaz.

During the visit, discussions were held to explore avenues for enhancing cooperation between the two nations across multiple military domains. Notably, Iran and Pakistan have been actively engaged in promoting collaboration and conducting joint naval exercises in the Indian Ocean and the Sea of Oman in recent years. This visit highlights the commitment of both countries to maintaining regional security and safeguarding their respective interests.
