Danish Appeals Court Upholds Prison Sentences for Anti-Iran Terrorist Group Members Involved in 2018 Ahvaz Attack

The Eastern High Court in Copenhagen has confirmed the prison sentences handed down to three individuals associated with an anti-Iran terrorist organization responsible for a deadly assault in the city of Ahvaz in 2018. On Friday, the court upheld the original jail terms imposed by the District Court in Roskilde in 2022.

Iran (IMNA) - The trio received sentences ranging from six to eight years for their involvement in promoting terrorism within Iran and gathering intelligence on behalf of an undisclosed Saudi intelligence agency. These individuals were apprehended in Denmark two years prior to their conviction and were found guilty of orchestrating a terrorist attack during a military parade in Ahvaz, resulting in the tragic loss of 25 innocent lives.

Danish Appeals Court Orders Expulsion of ASMLA Members Involved in Espionage and Terrorist Activity

In a significant development, three individuals affiliated with the Arab Struggle Movement for the Liberation of Ahvaz (ASMLA) have been ordered to be permanently expelled from Denmark. The ASMLA has been advocating for the separation of Khuzestan, an Iranian province with Ahvaz as its capital, through acts of terrorism.

Moreover, the Danish appeals court recently ruled that the trio had engaged in gathering sensitive information about individuals, organizations, and Iranian military affairs within Denmark and abroad. Disturbingly, they were found to be sharing this intelligence with Saudi intelligence authorities.

Swedish-backed Terrorist ASMLA's Ringleader Executed by Iranian Intelligence Forces

Farajollah Chaab, also known as Habib Asyud, the ringleader of the Arab Struggle Movement for the Liberation of Ahwaz (ASMLA), was apprehended in November 2020 through a series of targeted and coordinated actions carried out by Iranian intelligence forces. The ASMLA, a group with alleged ties to Sweden, has been accused of promoting acts of terrorism.

In a significant development, Chaab was executed on May 6, 2023, marking a decisive action against the Swedish-supported terrorist organization. The execution serves as a testament to Iran's commitment to combating terrorism and safeguarding national security.
