Iranian President Emphasizes Palestine as Key Global Issue Amid Israeli-Gaza Conflict

Amidst the ongoing genocidal war between Israel and the Gaza Strip, Iranian President Ebrahim Raeisi has highlighted the significance of the Palestinian cause as the "most essential" issue in both the region and the world.

Iran (IMNA) - President Raeisi conveyed these sentiments during a phone conversation with Kuwait's Emir Sheikh Mishal Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah on Wednesday. He affirmed that the Islamic Republic is ready to collaborate with other nations to restore the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people. The Israeli regime initiated the conflict on October 7 as a response to an operation carried out by Gaza's resistance movements. Tragically, the military campaign has resulted in the deaths of over 20,000 individuals, with a majority being women and children.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu categorically rejected the possibility of a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip on Wednesday, affirming that the Israeli regime would continue the conflict until all of its stated "objectives" were achieved. In a separate development, the President of Iran extended his appreciation to the Emir of Kuwait for their nation's backing of Palestinian rights and their opposition to normalizing relations with the "illegitimate and occupying Zionist regime." President Raeisi also emphasized that the Islamic Republic's strategy centered on strengthening and broadening ties with neighboring countries.

In a recent statement, the Iranian president emphasized the importance of "integrity, cooperation, and synergy" among neighboring countries as the sole solution to regional issues and the promotion of collective interests. He expressed concern over the presence of foreign forces in the region, viewing it as a source of problems.

Responding to these remarks, a Kuwaiti official reiterated his country's unwavering support for the restoration of Palestinians' rights. He expressed hope for a swift resolution of regional challenges, emphasizing the need for peace, stability, and security to prevail throughout the entire region.
