Iranian, Syrian Officials Sign Cooperation Documents in Presence of Vice-President Mokhber and Prime Minister Arnous

Iranian and Syrian officials gathered on Saturday morning for a signing ceremony of memoranda of understanding (MoUs) between the two nations.

Iran (IMNA) - The event was attended by Iran's Vice-President Mohammad Mokhber and Syrian Prime Minister Hussein Arnous. Following the ceremony, a joint press conference was held where Arnous highlighted the purpose of their visit to Iran. He stated that one objective was to follow up on the outcomes of the MoUs and agreements signed during the Iranian President's visit to Damascus. Additionally, the trip aimed to convene the 15th meeting of the Joint Economic Committee of Iran and Syria, according to Arnous.

"In acknowledging the unwavering support of Iran throughout the brutal conflict faced by the Syrian nation," stated the representative of the Syrian Arab Republic, "I extend my heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to the leadership, officials, and people of Iran."

During the joint press conference, the first vice president emphasized discussions revolving around the egregious actions committed by Israel and the United States in Gaza, which unequivocally amount to war crimes and genocide.

Expressing concern over the silence of the international community, Mokhber urged the free world to respond to these atrocities. He further stressed the necessity for Muslim countries to unite, halt these tragedies, and ensure that the culprits and masterminds behind these crimes face justice."

In a recent statement, Mokhber, the Iranian first vice president, highlighted the unifying impact of the Al-Aqsa Storm operation on various Resistance groups. He also mentioned that during talks with the Syrian prime minister, an agreement was reached to establish regular shipping and enhance transportation between Iran and Syria.
