Iran: US, Israel "main losers" in Gaza War, "incapable" of destroying Hamas

In a recent statement, Amir-Abdollahian expressed that Israel has shown a willingness to continue and expand the ongoing conflict, with full support from the United States, in what he referred to as the "Gaza genocide." He mentioned that Tehran had been informed through intermediaries that the White House has realized that their unwavering support for Israel does not bring them any benefits.

Iran (IMNA) - The Iranian diplomat also highlighted the current stance of the US, stating that they now possess the will to put an end to Israeli atrocities by establishing a stable ceasefire, providing humanitarian aid to Gaza, and preventing the forced displacement of the Palestinian population.

Amir-Abdollahian emphasized that despite the comprehensive support of the US and its allies, the Israeli regime has failed to eradicate Hamas over the past six weeks. He acknowledged Hamas as a reality deeply rooted within Palestine and an integral part of the Palestinian resistance. He firmly believed that the fate of Gaza should be determined by the Palestinian people and their resistance.

Furthermore, Amir-Abdollahian claimed that the escalation of the conflict in recent weeks was a natural response from regional resistance forces to the US's military backing of the Israeli massacre of Palestinian women and children. He made it clear that Iran does not have any proxy groups in the region and that resistance movements are driven by their own countries' interests, the preservation of regional security, and the defense of the Arab-Muslim Ummah.

The war on Gaza was initiated by Israel on October 7, following Hamas' Operation Al-Aqsa Storm, which was conducted in retaliation against intensified Israeli atrocities towards the Palestinian people.

The Iranian Foreign Minister, Amir-Abdollahian, revealed that the United States has been sending multiple messages to Iran, urging them to exercise restraint. He stated that Washington has expressed its desire to avoid further escalation of the war and has requested Iran's assistance in advising resistance groups in Iraq, Syria, and Yemen not to act against American and Israeli bases.

Amir-Abdollahian emphasized that there are certain groups in Iraq and Syria that independently decide to take action against the US without Iran's involvement or approval. He made it clear that Iran does not have any proxy groups or organizations operating in the region. The Iranian Foreign Minister conveyed a message to all parties involved, including the US, stating that if they genuinely want Iran, Hezbollah, and others to exercise restraint, they should actively work towards ending the war and refrain from supporting the Israeli occupation and participating in its crimes.

Furthermore, Amir-Abdollahian warned that if the situation in Gaza escalates, it could potentially lead to an expansion of the conflict, which Iran does not seek. He highlighted that new fronts in southern Lebanon, Yemen, Syria, and Iraq have come to the aid of Gaza, demonstrating that certain Arab-Muslim nations cannot remain indifferent to the suffering of civilians in the Palestinian enclave.

The Foreign Minister stressed that the resistance movement is capable of producing and procuring its necessary equipment and weapons. He reiterated Iran's proposed solution to the Palestine issue, which involves conducting a referendum among all Palestinians, including Jews, Christians, and Muslims.

Amir-Abdollahian also criticized the Israeli regime, stating that despite 70 years of occupation, it has proven to be a genocidal entity. He dismissed any notions of democracy associated with the Israeli regime as ironic, considering its history of usurpation and crimes against humanity. The Iranian Foreign Minister called on the international community to prioritize Israel's nuclear disarmament and the trial of Zionist war criminals.
