Iranian President Calls for Just System and Multilateral Integration at ECO Summit

Iranian President Ebrahim Raeisi delivered a speech at the 16th ECO summit in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, on Thursday morning. He emphasized Iran's commitment to establishing a just system based on respect and deepening multilateral integration.

During his address, President Raeisi expressed unconditional support for the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), highlighting its role as a favorable mechanism for economic cooperation in the region. He commended the strong determination of all ECO member states to create a safe, stable, and prosperous region while actively participating in international systems.

Furthermore, President Raeisi underscored Iran's ongoing efforts, with the support and cooperation of independent countries and international partners, to build a robust military foundation rooted in respect and multilateral integration.

Addressing the situation in Gaza, President Raeisi condemned the Israeli regime's crimes in the region. He attributed the continuation of these atrocities to the unwavering support provided by the Western countries, particularly the United States, to the Zionist invasion of Gaza.

President Raeisi also acknowledged the global pro-Palestine protests denouncing the Israeli regime's attacks on Palestinians. He warned that the Israeli regime's persistent violence and crimes would not only affect the West Asia region but also have far-reaching consequences beyond its borders, evoking impatience among freedom-loving people worldwide.

He also emphasized that halting the assaults and providing essential aid to the residents of Gaza are top priorities. Additionally, President Raeisi discussed the situation in Afghanistan, expressing his hope for the establishment of an all-inclusive government that represents the diverse ethnic and religious groups in the country. He urged the ECO to implement a comprehensive program aimed at supporting Afghanistan in its efforts to rebuild and promote economic development, with the ultimate goal of assisting the resilient Afghan population."
