Islamic Republic Sends Humanitarian Aid to Palestine in Solidarity Amid Ongoing Gaza Conflict

In a display of solidarity, the Islamic Republic has sent a shipment of humanitarian aid to the people of Palestine through the southern port of Shahid Rajaee, as announced by Vahid Salimi, the head of Iran's Crescent Society.

Iran (IMNA) - Additional consignments have also been loaded at the same port. The aid is part of a larger effort to support those affected by the recent Gaza war.

Iranians have generously donated over $1.2 million to assist the war-torn region. The Israeli regime's ongoing attacks on Gaza, following Operation Al-Aqsa Storm initiated by the Palestinian Resistance movement Hamas on October 7, have been met with condemnation.

These actions were in response to decades-long violence against Palestinians and repeated incursions into the al-Aqsa Mosque. The conflict between the Zionist regime and Hamas has resulted in a tragic loss of life, with official figures from both sides reporting over 9,200 Palestinian casualties, mostly civilians, as well as at least 1,400 Israeli soldiers and settlers.
