"Regional Powers Gather in Tehran for Second 3+3 Meeting to Discuss South Caucasus Peace Negotiations and Regional Cooperation"

The second 3+3 meeting is set to commence in Tehran on Monday, featuring the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Russia, Turkey, and Iran.

Iran (IMNA) - The primary agenda of the meeting will revolve around the South Caucasus region, peace negotiations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, and the imperative to enhance regional cooperation across various domains such as politics, economics, security, transit, and energy.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan recently confirmed his acceptance to participate in the 3+3 format proposed by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

The 3+3 format aims to address regional challenges by including neighboring countries while excluding non-regional and Western nations.

Last year, the first 3+3 meeting took place in Moscow at the level of deputy foreign ministers, without the presence of Georgia.

Hosting the 3+3 meeting is anticipated to be a significant stride in the Raisi administration's pursuit of a policy of good neighborliness, fostering friendly relations with neighboring countries, and resolving regional issues without external interference.
