Iranian Intelligence Forces Capture High-Profile Daesh Member in Sistan and Baluchestan Province

In a successful operation, Iranian intelligence forces have apprehended a prominent member of the Takfiri Daesh terrorist in the southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchestan, near the Pakistan border. The captured individual, identified only as A.H., was taken into custody after meticulous intelligence work both domestically and internationally, as reported by Tasnim news agency.

Iran (IMNA) - According to the report, the arrested terrorist had intentions to recruit operatives, establish terror cells, assemble and train an assassination team, and carry out acts of sabotage and terrorism within the province. Utilizing social media platforms, he managed to form groups consisting of both foreign nationals and Iranian citizens in remote areas of Sistan and Baluchestan.

Over the past years, Sistan and Baluchestan province, which shares a border with Pakistan, has experienced numerous terrorist attacks targeting civilians and security forces. These terrorist groups have established connections with repressive regimes in the Persian Gulf region, known for their hostile activities against Iranian interests.

In a related development, the IRGC Ground Force successfully disrupted a terror team in Sistan and Baluchestan, resulting in the elimination of two terrorists.

In a remarkable display of vigilance, Iran's security forces have successfully safeguarded the nation's border areas, effectively thwarting numerous terrorist attacks instigated by foreign-backed anti-revolutionary elements. This resolute effort was once again demonstrated in May, when Iranian security forces apprehended a Takfiri terrorist affiliated with Daesh in Sistan and Baluchestan province, who was actively plotting a sinister scheme.

Provincial police commander, General Doostali Jalilian, disclosed to reporters that through meticulous employment of technical and intelligence strategies, the forces were able to unveil the presence of a covert Daesh operative residing in a village within Zabol County.
