Iran, Saudi Arabia agreed to reschedule Sepahan-Al-Ittihad match

Iran's Foreign Minister, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, has commented on the cancellation of the Sepahan-Al-Ittihad soccer match.

Iran (IMNA) - He mentioned that he was in communication with his Saudi counterpart at the time when the decision to cancel the game was made.

Emphasizing that the relations between Tehran and Riyadh are progressing positively, Amir-Abdollahian highlighted that sports should not be manipulated for political purposes by any party. He also stated that Iran and Saudi Arabia have agreed to reschedule the match for a more suitable time.

Additionally, he urged the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) to handle the situation based on technical considerations. The Saudi Pro League champions, Al-Ittihad, refused to play against Sepahan on Monday, leading to the cancellation of the match.
