After suspension of grain deal, Europe likely to see "devastating migration crisis

The suspension of the grain agreement would have the most negative effects on Europe, which will be inundated with migrants from developing nations that depend on grain exports from Russia and Ukraine, according to foreign experts who spoke with Sputnik on Wednesday.

Iran (IMNA) - The grain agreement has been cancelled with immediate effect, according to Dmitry Peskov, a spokesperson for the Kremlin, though Russia may rejoin it if obligations to Moscow are met.

Following Russia's decision to pull out of the agreement, Europe might soon face a severe migratory catastrophe. The European Union will be the main casualty of rising food prices and shortages in developing nations, according to Yusuf Alabarda, a Turkish political analyst and a representative of the M5 Strategy Journal, who spoke to Sputnik.

In an article for Sputnik, Eugen Schmidt of the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party also warned that the European Union would suffer greatly if the agreement was suspended.

Schmidt added, "Unfortunately, Western nations are purposefully causing poverty in places dependent on Russian and Ukrainian food supplies, which will ultimately inspire vast, ravenous mobs to storm European borders.

According to the German legislator, today's Europe, particularly Germany, lacks foreign policy independence and exclusively acts in the interests of "external forces, which has an extremely negative effect on the state of affairs in Germany itself."

The expert urged them to take responsibility for the suspension of the agreement on their behalf because Russia's concerns have not been addressed, despite the fact that several important European countries, including Germany, France, Italy, the Netherlands, and Austria, have already urged Russia to resume its participation in the grain initiative.

The Turkish political expert predicted that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan would play a key role in its renewal and that sooner or later, the European states would be forced to sit down and negotiate with Russia regarding its participation in the agreement.

Because Europe will be highly interested and Russia is also keen on maintaining its grain exports through the corridor, he predicted that Mr. Putin and Mr. Erdogan will find a way to make it function once more in the future.
