Enemy attempting to polarize Iranian people; demands must be reasonable

Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the leader of the Islamic Revolution, says the adversary has always attempted to polarize the Iranian nation, and he urges the country's student community to be realistic in its expectations.

Iran (IMNA) - Ayatollah Khamenei delivered the statements on Tuesday, the 27th day of Ramadan, in an address to a gathering of university students and student movement activists.

Student activities shouldn't divide the student body and the nation, according to this statement. The enemy's goal is to create polarization. The Leader stated that in order to meet the demands of the students, reality and scientifically sound answers must be offered.

The leader refuted the notion that any dissatisfaction with the settlement of the country's issues stems from inside, claiming that it is the enemy's tactic to make the Iranian nation feel dissatisfied in itself.

"Difficulties do not dishearten a motivated young student." "He studies and fights to find solutions to problems," he explained.

The Leader emphasized that "everyone should be up to date in getting to know the enemy's plan and strategy," adding, "Whether we understand it or not, the enemy is constantly working against the 'righteous front' by spending money and resources."

The Leader added that despite claims to the contrary made by the hostile media, international Quds Day and Laylat al-Qadr, which commemorates the night when the Holy Qur'an was revealed to the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), were more vibrant this year than they were the year before.

In response to a question on the possibility of having referendums on numerous issues facing the country, the Leader stated, "Is it possible to hold referendums on various issues facing the country?" Where in the world does this happen? Do all of those who must vote in the referendum have the ability to examine the issue?"

Ayatollah Khamenei called on the Iranian youths to steadfastly follow the path of the Islamic Revolution and Islam while maintaining hope and rationality, and warned that "enemies bear a grudge against the Iranian youths" because they are afraid of their presence, work, and motivation.
