US sanctions hindering Iranians' access to medicine

The coronavirus outbreak has made governments worldwide to get united in the face of this emergency. Iranian responsible authorities have implemented emergency measures to save lives in the fight against the Corona virus.

Iran (IMNA) - The Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran is carrying out all-out efforts to provide funds for the purchase of required medicines and medical gear to combat the coronavirus outbreak amid the cruel and unilateral US sanctions.

Despite Iran's scientific capabilities, US sanctions have drastically hindered Iran’s health system in fighting against the pandemic as the delivery of humanitarian aid by the UN and other organizations has been obstructed.

Of the 32,332 people confirmed coronavirus patients in Iran, 2,378 so far have died.

The mayor of Isfahan, Ghodratollah Norouzi, posted a statement on Twitter regarding US economic and medical terrorism on Iran that reads as follow;

Add a new item to Crimes Against Humanity [including Extermination, The Crime of Apartheid, etc,]: #MedicalTerrorism amid Pandemic! For Viruses, there’s no barrier to cross borders, For Medicines Nor should be.
