Iran (IMNA) – "This organization needs teachers who are able to educate students with autism, but as universities have not undertaken their duties in this regard, the organization had to realize the goal itself," Majid Ghadami said.
"According to the defined diagnostic measures of this organization, students who do not receive a permission to enter this kind of schools, should be provided with rehabilitation services of the Welfare Organization," he continued.
Saying that educating exceptional students is due to the parents' attention, he noted, "parents should defend their children's rights; education is one of these items, and financial and employment issues should be solved by the Autism Society."
Pointing to the efforts which have been taken so far to launch at least one autism school in all Iranian provinces, he added, "planning in this regard involves particular complexities, and needs human resources, training spaces, and rehabilitation forces."
"Currently, 2,800 students with autism are studying in Iranian exceptional schools," he noted.
