Isfahan's new subway line opened

The official opening ceremony of the new subway line of phase 3 was held with the presence of the first vice president, the governor general of Isfahan, the mayor, the members of the city council, and Isfahan official administrators.

Isfahan (IMNA) - The phase 3 of Isfahan 1st metro line and 6 stations of Imam Hossein (Darvaze Dowlat), Enghelab, Daneshgah (Isfahan University), Kooye Emam, Kargar, and Sofeh was opened officially.
 

By completing the eastern tunnel and fixing technical problems of the 6 stations, the remained operations of phase 3 was finished and it officially exploited with the presence of the first vice president. The time of using the new metro line from Azadi station to Sofe station will increase from 6.30 a.m to 9 p.m, and the arrival times of the metro will reduce to 15 minutes.
 

The length of the 1st line of Isfahan metro is 20, 2 km, and it has 20 stations. Currently, 50 thousands passengers are traveling by Isfahan metro. Accordingly, Isfahani citizens can travel from Ghods station in Imam Khomeini Street to Sofeh station by metro.
