Export of Isfahan sees a 17% growth

According to the latest statistics on the foreign trade of Isfahan province, Isfahan has exported goods at a total expense of 736 million and 831 thousand dollars to more than 90 countries across the world. It has also imported 217 million and 377 thousand dollars goods to the Customs Department of the province.

The chief of Isfahan Customs Department addressed IMNA reporter: Isfahan province has had an export of 582 goods at 2 million and 64 thousand tones to 91 foreign countries within the mentioned time span.  

Asadollah Ahmadi added that the earlier said statistics has undergone a 21% and 17% raise in terms of weight for the former and value for the latter in comparison to the same period in the previous year.    

Providing more details, he clarified that the majority of exported goods from Isfahan were petrochemical products, Iron and steel products, and carpets.

With 29%, Iraq allocated the highest amount of the whole export of Isfahan province to itself; UAE, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Thailand with 17%, 16%, 8%, and 5% respectively were the next countries to import goods from Isfahan, the authority explained.  

Ahmadi further stated that in line with the resistance economy and electronic government, the export of Isfahan producers are operated with the least customs formalities without any need to attend the customs department in person.   

Regarding the imported goods to Isfahan over the recent half year, the official announced the most significant imported goods to the province as following: mechanical machinery at 28%, electric machinery at 15%, vehicles' components at 12%, paper and cardboard at 3%.           

China, South Korea, Italy, Germany have exported the most goods to the province of Isfahan with 22%, 15%, 11%, and 10% respectively, Asadollah Ahmadi detailed.  

He then informed the public that the customs office of Isfahan Shahid-Beheshti International Airport has provided the official formalities for close to 280 thousand incoming and outgoing passengers through a 24-hour effort in this period. "The number has had a 9% decrease compared to the same time interval in the year before", he declared.   

"Judicial authorities of Isfahan Customs Department have investigated 632 cases suspected to smuggling goods at $8 million. The number of cases has witnessed a 12% growth with a raise of 23% concerning the value", he analyzed and reminded that the mentioned statistics were all calculated in comparison to the same time period in the past year.
