“Felezi” Bridge widened with no harm to green space

Isfahan mayor announced: The project of widening the construction of “Felezi” Bridge was performed without harming the green space and cutting down any trees.

IMNA quotes from the mayor, Mehdi Jamali Nejad, on the sidelines of the inauguration of “Widening Felezi Bridge”: Dear Isfahan citizens are aware that we have had the experience of widening other bridges like “Bozorgmehr”, and “Vahid”; however, “felezi” bridge is of a different type due to the dense green space all around. “Implementing the mentioned project without ruining the tree-lined ways was tough”, he expressed.

He informed people that over 100 trees were supposed to be cut down in the early plan of widening the bridge, but great amount of time was spent in order not to let this disaster occur.

“The only thing which is left from the whole project is the architecture of the bridge bases which will be executed in quite near future”, the mayor added and said: The architecture is going to be one-of-a-kind and maybe a sample for future urban development.

He then explained that thanks to not cutting the trees, now the pavements are built through the branches of the trees causing the pedestrians both take walks and enjoy the fresh air in the green space.
