Today is National Firefighters Day in Iran; it became a national celebration in September  29, 1977 due to the tragic martyrdom of Iranian firefighters following an air strikes launched by Iraqi air forces on Abadan oil refinery.

Iran (IMNA) - On this occasion, Iranian commemorate the past firefighters who have died while serving our communities or dedicated their lives to protect us so well throughout the year.

National Firefighters’ Day (IFFD) is a wonderful opportunity to recognize their commitment, celebrate their heroism and honor the sacrifices that firefighters make to ensure that their compatriots are as safe as possible.

Today Isfahani firefighters celebrate the day with squad drills, displays of fire fighting trucks and fire engines as well as demonstrations of rescuing techniques.

IMNA's Press Team thank all Iranian firefighters for their selflessness and dedication as they save hearts, memories and keep dreams alive.
