Gunther Uecker’s exhibition entitled “Tribute to Hafez” is opened in the Isfahan Museum of Contemporary Art.
Iran (IMNA) - Gunther Uecker who is a sculptor and installation artist, inspired by 30 sonnets of Hafiz, created a collection titled “Homage to Hafiz” consists of 42 pieces in which the ghazals by Hafez have been transformed into colors and the sound of the poems into written images. The idea of this collection initiated from his previous trip to Iran, and led to the implementation of this project. For the first time, this collection was unveiled in Hafezieh, Shiraz – Hafiz’ resting place and now it's the time for Isfahan to host the collection. Uecker’s Paintings are now displayed in the Isfahan Museum of Contemporary Art. The exhibition is open to visitors unlit April 12.
