The Zayande-Rood River has been dry for more than a decade; during this period of time, people living in the eastern side of Isfahan have been struggling with various water related problems; from the social problems to livelihood problems.

Isfahan (IMNA) - If you have a short trip to this area, you will think that here is a desert ghost town; you will not hear the sounds of water, sickles and shovels hitting the ground, you will not notice the feelings of sadness and tears among people for desperate situations of water based recession. Most people who used to be farmers and stockmen, have lost their jobs due to the dryness of Zayande-Rood River, and moved to the neighboring towns, the rest of them who lost their jobs are experiencing tough situations with a small amount of money.
