Adobe castle of Nushabad belongs to Seljukid era, Teimurian era and Safavid era. It is located in eastern side of the historical city of Nushabad and also registered in the list of national monument on September 29, 2002 with the registration number of 6154.

Isfahan (IMNA) - This castle is one of the strongest and the most beautiful castles made from adobe and mud. It has the area of over one hectare and with 9 watchtowers and walls with the thickness of 4 to 5 meters. Some believe that this construction was built in Seljuk and Illkhani era, while a treasure of coins from Safavid era has found there. It has been also the residence of Farzin's family since Qajar era.

There are thick mud walls between the towers of this castle. This building has two entrances; one of them is in the northeast and the other one is in the northwest. The northwest entrance is the main entrance and it has special architecture, the other entrance was built in recent years as an addition to the building.

This adobe castle used to be a military fortress which turned to be a residential place in next centuries afregeneral, it was built in order to protect the property and family members of people during the insurgent invasions. When the enemy attacked the area, the inhabitants brought their valuable properties and their families into the castle, and defend themselves with the help of the thick walls and tall towers. Archeologists are investigating this historical monument, and comprehensive study is  also required in this regard.
