Iran ready to share experiences on COVID-19 with regional countries

Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Bagheri, in separate messages to his counterparts and Defense Ministries in the region have announced Iranian armed forces’ readiness to share experiences on battling against the novel coronavirus.

Iran (IMNA) - The top Iranian military commander In his messages to the high ranking military officials in Iraq, the Republic of Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Syria and Lebanon, addressed Iran's achievements in combating COVID19 and also armed forces' attempts to curb the deadly virus.

He noted that failure to immediate response to the virus could lead to increase in the pace of epidemic and will endanger the health of large numbers of people.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran’s diligent performance in combating the virus could pave the way  for other Islamic nations, friendly and neighboring states,” the top military commander added.

Meantime, Iran's Defense Minister Brigadier General Amir Hatami said that Iran's Army made its medical equipment, manufactured in line with the most recent technologies, accessible for those units that need to be combat-ready to.

Iranian health officials have been warning of a new wave of the disease if medical guideline are not seriously followed.

"If people do not observe health protocols, the disease will certainly return," said Mohammad Mehdi Gouya, director of the Health Ministry’s communicable diseases department.
