Children's outdoor play spaces in Isfahan need to be developed

"In the recent few decades, cities have not provide anything for children except restriction and prohibition; one of the evidences in this regard is the limited number of children's outdoor play spaces in Isfahan," the deputy of urban planning and architecture of Isfahan municipality said.

Isfahan (IMNA) – "Children are the most important citizens of cities due to their high susceptibility from their surrounding environment," Seyed Ahmad HosseinI Nia said. "This gap reflects the fact that the quality of the children's lives has been neglected, but since Isfahan is the pilot of the child-friendly city in Iran, developing such spaces should be put on the agenda," he noted.

"Unfortunately, the process of developing and improving the quality of the children's outdoor play spaces in the cities is imperfect and it needs to be reviewed and reformed," he added. "Since the beginning of this year, one of the main policies of Isfahan municipality has been developing different types of children's outdoor play spaces, especially in all neighborhoods throughout the city," he said.
