Isfahan is depressed due to the dried up river of Zayanderood

"The atmosphere of Isfahan is tragic; people are particularly angry at the Zayanderood’s drying up. Financial problems and cross-border issues are intensifying every day; so people will suffer more and more if we cannot solve the issues properly," the mayor of Isfahan said.

Isfahan (IMNA) - "Brainstorming sessions have been held with different groups of people since the urban management organization of Isfahan started a new course of actions; in these meetings, the experts' speech and opinions have been heard and considered," Qodratollah Nowruzi stated.

Expressing that undoubtedly Friday prayer imams have valuable opinions about the cultural issues of the society, the mayor of Isfahan said, "Imams are experts in religious matters; they know the problem of the society and can help us to solve cultural problems."

Emphasizing that the municipality of Isfahan seeks to create social vitality, he said "In order to achieve this goal, we have to hold meetings to save the society from depression while respecting the Islamic dignities; if the depression in the community increases, the security will be in danger."

"To reach to Isfahan's rightful place, it's necessary to inject happiness into the community. If we believe that Isfahan is a world city, cultural city, the capital of tourism, and the city of martyrs, we must prepare the tourism infrastructure and invite the world to travel to Isfahan," Nowruzi emphasized.

"Half-finished projects, such as Jahan Nama building, Imam Ali Square, the Meeting Hall, and the Subway projects are seen all over the town for years; we have not started a new project, but we want to finish these half-finished ones with the support of Imams," the mayor of Isfahan reiterated.

"Due to our promise to finish the first line of Isfahan subway on the beginning of the new year of 1397 SH, our employees worked in three shifts for four months to direct the subway to Sofe station," Nowruzi added.
