Isfahan (IMNA) - “An important agreement between Isfahan municipality and the head of Iran's cinema organization was signed in Tehran last week and Isfahan was selected as the permanent host of the International Children and Youth Festival”, Ghodratollah Norouzi said in the radio program “Salam Isfahan”.
"Holding the International Film Festival for Children and Youth is an important and valuable opportunity for cultural development in Isfahan which can improve the abilities of the city's artists and provide the adequate context for artists to participate in this important development," the mayor added.
"In the past, it was decided to establish the permanent countinghouse of the festival in Isfahan, however the decision faced many challenges. The good news is that signing this agreement provides the opportunity again," Norouzi reminded. "The International Children and Youth Festival created a special joy in the city," He expressed his hope.
Nowruzi congratulated the citizens on the occasion of Ramadan and said, "During the first days of Holy month of Ramadan, the city's environment got cleaned up especially in religious places with the help of 15 regional municipalities and cultural programs was also carried out by the Department of Cultural Affairs of the municipality.
Referring to the water shortage crisis, he stressed, "We should all be careful about the matter of water consumption, if we don’t care about water and use it for irrigating plants and washing vehicles, this will lead to hyper-consumption. In summer cutting off of drinking water may put people at risk."
"Try to manage water consumption and prevent water waste. If you notice that people use water inappropriately in different departments of the municipality, inform the municipalities by calling 137 to deal with offenders," Nowruzi requested citizens.
