Iran’s Online Library Database Launched

An online database for Iranian libraries has been launched by the Iranian Research Institute for Information Science and Technology (IRANDOC), affiliated to the Ministry of Science.

Available through the website ak.irandoc.ac.ir, people can check about the availability of books in local libraries, Mehr News Agency reported. 

According to IRANDOC, so far 75 libraries have registered their books on the platform.

The institute says all Iranian libraries and their books will be listed on the service by next March.

IRANDOC was created to work in the field of science, information technology and librarianship. It has developed several scientific databases.
