Armenia sends 103 antiquities for display in Iranian museum

Armenia has sent 103 antiquities for display at the National Museum of Iran, said the museum's director, Jebrael Nokandeh, IRAN DAILY reported.

The artifacts are from the fourth millennium BC to the first century BC, ISNA wrote.

The artifacts were dispatched following an agreement between Iran and Armenia on organizing a joint exhibition titled 'Iran, Armenia: Memory of a Land' in Iran which is scheduled to be held from October 17 to January 17.

The exhibition is the second foreign display to be held in the museum and is considered as a new chapter in Iran-Armenia cooperation in this field.

The first experience of holding a foreign exhibition was the event titled 'A Statue for Peace: The Penelope Sculptures, From Persepolis to Rome' in September 2015.

The exhibition featured four statutes of Penelope from the collections of the National Museum of Iran and two European museums.
