Iranian tourists to travel to Russia without visa

Based on a bilateral agreement signed between Iran and Russia, visa regime will be lifted for Iranian tourists who want to travel to Russia, Russian envoy to Tehran said.

Levan Jagarian made the remarks Saturday in a meeting with Mazandaran governor general.

Russian tourists will also be able to travel to Iran with no need to obtain visas.

The visa waiver program in Russia is now effective for Turkey, Thailand and the UAE and it will soon take effect for the Egyptian nationals, he said.

Meanwhile, Governor General of Mazandaran Rabi Fallah Jelodar expressed readiness to establish cooperation with Moscow and other Russian provinces.
