“One of the foreign ministry’s priorities will be protect the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and prevent US from violating the accord by putting the blame on the Islamic Republic,” Zarif told reporters on the sideline of the first cabinet session of the newly-formed Iranian government.
“Another priority will be the relations with the neighbors. Unfortunately we are in a region where there is chaos and false policies and foreign interference are raising extremism in the region,” he added.
"The economic department will be created within this ministry to help develop the country's economy," Zarif noted.
He also announced that the foreign ministry will have measures to develop the tourism industry in Iran.
