First Isfahan Press Photo Exhibit opened

According to IMNA, the exhibition was inaugurated in Sooreh hall on August 11, Friday in the presence of Isfahan governor Rasoul Zargarpour and Isfahan mayor Mehdi Jamalinejad. Head of Culture and Islamic Guidance of Isfahan Province, Habib-Reza Arzani, attended the inauguration as well.

Press Photographers Association has founded the event, displaying works of 35 press photographers. The exhibition will last for five days until August 16th, Wednesday.

                                                                                         

343 works of photography were sent to the secretariat of the exhibition since the event was officially announced. Afterwards, the sent works were evaluated by the jury including Muhammad Nowrouzi, Morteza Nikou-Bazl, Javid Nikpour, Hamid-Reza Nikou-Maram, and Babak Borzouyeh on July 22.

The exhibition is held in two section of "selected works" and "pioneers". The first section presents a selection of young press photographers' works, and the second section includes a photo display of works from Isfahan pioneers in the field of press photos. Abdollah Hashemi, Asghar Shirazi, Abbas Fallah, and Mehdi Jani-Pour comprise the photo owners in the second part.    

Abbas Poustin, Morteza Salehi, Arya Jafari, Alieh Sa'dat-Pour, Muhammad-Reza Jafari, Ehsan Jazini, Fatemeh Sadegh-Zadeh Mehdi Zargar, Mehdi karimi, Rasoul Shojaei, Muhammad-Reza Sharif, Azadeh Azizian, Reza Amini, Majid Hojjati, Morteza Zangeneh, and Khadijeh Naderi were allowed for their single photos in the exhibition; and Abdollah Hashemi as well as Asghar Shirazi were qualified in the pioneers section. Also three photo collections of Alieh Sa'dat-Pour, Arya Jafari, and Reza Ghalich-Khani could have the opportunity of presenting their photos in the exhibition.   

Three specialized press photo workshops are among other parts to be held on the sidelines of the event. They will be led on August 11th and 12th by Muhammad Nowrouzi, Javid Nikpour, and Morteza Nikou-Bazl.
