Iran's shorts to vie at FEST

Short movies of seven Iranian filmmakers will be featured at the 13th FEST New Directors New Films Festival in Portugal.

The Iranian films to be featured include Slaughterhouse by Behzad Azadi and Distorted Memories Of A Lake by Vahid Hosseini Nami, The Little Boy by Mona Abdollah Shahi, Junk Girl by Mohammad Zare and Shalale Kheiri, The Tree by Sareh Shafipour, The Role of Each Fret by Maryam Farahzadi and The War We Weren’t by Azita Agnew.

FEST New Directors New Films Festival focuses on creating a space for up-and-coming filmmakers to show and promote their work, to develop their skills, offering new opportunities, and the chance to develop new audiences for independent cinema.

The 13th edition of the FEST is slated for June 19-26 in the Portuguese city of Espinho.

Earlier, Mehrdad Oskouei won the Best Documentary Film Award for his movie Starless Dreams and Mansour Forouzesh was selected as the judge of the International section of Iranian Film Cinematography.
