Addressing a press conference, Ali-Reza Movahednejad announced that 150 moon-sighting groups were instructed to sight the Ramadan crescent nationwide.
Movahednejad predicted that the holy month will last for 30 days this year.

The holy fasting month of Ramadan is expected to start on Saturday, May 27 in Iran, an official at the moon-sighting committee of the Supreme Leader’s Office announced.
