​Isfahan mayor lectures among mayors of Islamic world

The first summit for mayors of the Islamic world was running on March 26th and 27th, discussing solutions for increasing cooperation between cities of the whole Islamic world. The holy city of Iran, Mashhad, hosted the event.

IMNA quotes from Mashhad mayor, Sowlat Mortazavi, at the opening ceremony of the meeting: Mashhad, as the cultural capital of the Islamic World in 2017 is the proper place to internationally introduce one of the most significant figures and cities on the progress of Islamic civilization. 
 
He pointed that in the stormy atmosphere of today world, there exists another status, which is emerging urban actors in international atmosphere, enabling programmers and urban managers to hold closer ties with one another and exchange experiences.  
 
The summit was held in Mashhad as the cultural capital the Islamic worlds in 2017. Mashhad hosted about 40 mayors and heads of foreign committees from 27 countries around the Islamic world.
