The meeting was held in the presence of all members from general sports delegation and rural sports of Isfahan, as well as the sports federation of France. High ranking authorities of sports federation from the two parties were also present at the meeting.
Top director of “sports & youth” of Isfahan province, Muhammad Soltan Hussaini, started the meeting with a brief introduction of Isfahan. Isfahan mayor then presented a detailed explanation about monuments and the antiquity of Isfahan, and sports activities of this city to the French guests too.
Then French chairman of general sports federation, Jean Louis Prevost, engaged in Iranian attractiveness and hospitality as well as the beauty of Isfahan. Afterwards, he made a short speech on activities of the French federation of sports.
Further at the meeting, the top director of sports and youth for Isfahan province pointed out the honors received by Iranian & Isfahani heroes in international championships.
“That was a great surprise for us to feel this high safety in Iran. If we had such a historical site as Si-o-Se-Pol meaning 33 bridges in France, a police officer would be assigned to watch every section of that”, expressed Jean Louis Prevost later at the meeting, and continued: We could even transport throughout the city with peace of mind.
Mehdi Jamali Nejad; thereafter, offered some solutions on a two-sided cooperation with French federation of general sports. The chairman of the federation welcomed the suggestion, saying: We are fully prepared for this cooperation, for which we need to find a way.
Finally at the meeting, Isfahan mayor Jamali Nejad bestowed some gifts to the French delegation as memoirs, and appreciated them.
After visiting two public sports stations in the city of Isfahan: (1. Morning exercise of the disabled, and 2.a symbolic group of sportsmen playing a traditional Iranian game at Takhti stadium), the French delegation visited Isfahan monuments. They last flew to Kashan to visit its historical sites as well.
