The Farabi Cinema Foundation (CEO) Alireza Tabesh expressed hope that the Youth Filmmaking Olympiad could be inspiring for youth cinema’s practitioners.

Tabesh made the remarks in the closing ceremony of “Manifestation of Hope” and the second Youth Filmmaking Olympiad sections of Iran’s 31st International Film Festival for Children and Youth attended by Alireza Rezadad the Secretary of the event, Farideh Rooshan Head of Cultural, Social and Sports Commission of Isfahan City Council, Koroush Mohammadi a member of Isfahan City Council in this central province of Iran. 

He added that,” the Olympiad is a new trend in leading filmmaking and filmmakers in the country.” 

Addressing the same gathering, Rezadad voiced his pleasure for holding the Youth Filmmaking Olympiad on the sidelines of the festival for two continuous years.
Secretary of the festival said he has watched several short films of this section and has enjoyed them.

In a meantime, Rooshan said the Manifestation of Hope section emphasizes the importance of filmmaking in the society. 

She added that this section has been reviewed by Iranian governmental and private organizations and the top works have been selected by them.

Roshan also stressed the significance of fostering the governmental and public institutions’ collaboration in holding the cultural programs for children and the youth.
   
Mohammadi also expressed hope that the festival could have a positive impact on the society.
Eventually, the members of the jury from International Center of Child Friendly City selected "Simin" directed and produced by Morteza Atash Bazm as the best film.

In a meanwhile, members of the jury from Isfahan Province’s State Welfare Organization picked ‘Pastarioni’ by Soheil Movafaq as the best Iranian feature film.

The jury of Isfahan’s Organization for Educational Research and Planning also picked their chosen actors including Sajad Ismaeili the star of ‘Stammer’ as the first, Mohammad Shakerin the star of ‘Pastarioni’ as the second, with Mohammad Amin Ahmadi the star of ‘Douch’, Akbar Dastranj the star of ‘Third Person Singular’, and Yazdan Kowkabi Saba from ‘Like a Good kid’ as the third.

Niavaran Complex and National Cultural Heritage Associations chose ‘Stammer’ by Mohammadreza Haji Gholami, and ‘Douch’ by Amir Mashhadi Abbas as the best films.

The jury at the art community of children and youth also granted ‘Stammer’ the third prize, ‘Third Person Singular’ by Vahid Nikkhah Azad the second one, and ‘Knockout’ by Gholamreza Ramezani the first place.

In the feature-length category, the jury of Social and Crime Prevention Directorate Judiciary gave the Best Director Award to Parnia Kazemipour for ‘Believe’, the Best Screenplay Award to Behrooz Gharibpour for ‘Orduckly’, the Best Producer Award to Abdullah Bakideh and Vahid Nikkhah Azad for ‘Third Person Singular’. 
Arian Yusefi and Sanaz Ramezani, the stars of ‘Glasses,’ were also chosen as Best Actors.

Presided by Alireza Rezadad, festival inaugurated on August 30 in central Province of Isfahan and the event would be wrapped up in September 5.
