Iran ranks 16th in commercialization of nanotechnology

The special meeting of introducing the potential and applications of nanotechnology in industries was held with the presence of Babak Abedini and Alireza Mojezi, the representatives of the task force of improving and developing culture-building practices of Nanotechnology Development Headquarter in Isfahan's chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (ICCIMA) .

Isfahan (IMNA) – "Many Nano activities have been taken out in recent years. Nanotechnology Development Headquarter has been formed in 2003, and a comprehensive "20-years landscape document" was codified in 2005. After 10 years, the function of this headquarter has exceeded our expectations and we were ahead of the landscape document," Mojezi said.

"Currently, Iran ranks 16th in the commercialization of nanotechnology in the world. The second landscape document was codified in 2016, and an enactment was approved in the cabinet in 2017 in which one of the items was about developing nanotechnology in the Ministry of Industry," he added.

"The Nano manufacturing and exporting the products increased significantly from 2013 to 2015; later, we succeeded to establish export bases in some countries like Turkey, Iraq, India, Indonesia, and Brazil," he continued.

"Most nanotechnology activities have taken out in the fields of urban development and construction, electricity, coating and nanocoating, transportations systems and automobiles, water and wastewater," he said about the realm of nanotechnology companies activities.
