Isfahan (IMNA) – "Carpet, as a noble Persian art, has a long history and has become a part of the culture and tradition of the society," Ghodratollah Nowrouzi said. Saying that this art should be turned into a dynamic economy, he noted, "The artists who are involved in this artistic field should update, organize, and identify the industry."
"If carpet, the art of fingers and the product of dynamic Iranian minds, has special identification, then we can know that where, when, and by whom it has been made and subsequently can be better introduced to the world market," he continued.
"The working condition in the carpet factories is oppressive, especially in Isfahan; effective measures should be taken out to create prosperity for the market of carpet. Isfahan has many hand-skilled artists in this field, and urban managers are interested to put this art in a worthwhile position," he said.
