The 2018 Tehran International Short Film Festival (TISFF) in Iran has declared the jury members of "Iran Cinema".

Isfahan (IMNA) - Varuzh Karim-Masihi, Ida Panahandeh, Mohammad Afarideh, Behtash Sanaeiha, Ramtin Shahbazi, Kaveh Ghahraman and Loghman Khaledi have been appointed as jurors the Iranian Cinema section of this international cinematic gathering. The selected jury members are all Iranian cineastes who have made several short films.

Karim-Masihi is an Iranian-Armenian film director, film editor and screenplay writer. He has directed several films including: "Fakhteh", "Parde-ye Akhar", "Samak-e Ayar" and "Tardid". Panahandeh as the only female juror, for example, has directed some shorts and some feature length films such as "Israfil" which has attended a number of international film events.

Afarideh started filming from the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults (IIDCYA) and the Free Cinema. He has directed several television series including "God's Party", short films including  "Message", "Guys of the Revolution", "Who's the hero" and the "Lion's Butts" movie.

Sanaeeha is a director and screen writer and has so far directed several films including "Risk of Acid Rain" (2015) and "The Invincible Diplomacy of Mr Naderi". Shahbazi is a researcher in the field of cinema and theater who has presented numerous articles in this regard.

Ghahraman is a director, screenwriter, photographer, editor and voice maker who has produced more than 28 documentary and experimental short stories. Khalidi is a documentary and editor. His documentaries are "I Am Traveling", "The Subscribed", "Slightly Higher", "Nessa" and "Season of Greed". Organized by Iranian Youth Cinema Society (IYCS), the festival is held to provide an opportunity for young filmmakers to exchange their experiences.

The 35th Tehran International Short Film Festival starts today November 9 and it is set to end on November 13, 2018 in the Iranian capital city of Tehran.
