23 clean air days registered in Isfahan from beginning of year

The air quality expert of Isfahan's Environment Department announced the registration of 23 clean air days during the first six months of the year.

Isfahan (IMNA) – Saying that total rainfall in March and April of this year has been effective in cleaning the air, Mahmood Mazare said, "From the beginning of this year till September, 23 clean air days, 148 healthy air days, 14 unhealthy air days for the sensitive groups have been registered in Isfahan, while according to the statistics, Isfahan did not have even one clean day in the first six months of the last year."

Pointing out that till the end of March, 2018, 173 healthy air days, 11 unhealthy air days for sensitive groups, and one very unhealthy air day have been registered for Isfahan, he said, "So far and by investigating the statistics, we can say that there is no significant difference between the number of the clean and healthy air days of the last year and this year."

"The activities of the refineries, Isfahan steel company, and Sanay-e Foolad don’t impose any problem at this moment, but in the case of special conditions, and the probable inversions, the meeting of Air Pollution Emergency Committee will be held, and they will be warned to reduce their activities; however I have to say that the inversion phenomenon won't happen till the end of autumn."
