"Land subsidence is so important that it is known as the silent earthquake in scientific meetings and researches; therefore, this serious risk should be managed appropriately. One of the most important outputs of this project is offering accurate knowledge for planning the necessary measures to protect the cultural and historical heritage and the nation's wealth of Isfahan," he emphasized.

Saying that the study plan and codifying the sustainable building criteria has put on the agenda with the cooperation of Architecture and Urban planning department of Art University, he continued, "This study plan has developed by 40 percent, a part of this plan refers to the "ecological and sustainable architecture" and "urban planning" and the other parts to the water shortage and using innovative and creative concepts and technologies to solve the water crisis."

"Decreasing rainfall, the dryness of the Zayande-Rood River, decreasing the level of ground water, and lack of feeding the groundwater resources have caused the land subsidence, so basic studies are needed to carry out regarding the groundwater," he noted.
