Iran's 'Gold Carrier' to compete in main section of Busan International Film Festival

Iranian feature 'Gold Carrier' has been selected to compete in the main competition section of the 23rd edition of the Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) in South Korea.

The film is directed by Tooraj Aslani, co-written by Aslani, Hadi Naderi, and produced by Mansour Sohrabpour. Aslani is a veteran cinematographer and has so far has shined in several international festivals and won a number of awards.

"Gold Carrier' is considered as Aslani's serious attendance in field of film directing. The film is distributed by international section of "Borderless Art" company across the world. The BIFF, which is being held annually in Haeundae-gu, Busan, South Korea, is considered as one of the most momentous film festivals in Asia.

The festival comprises different sections including "Gala Presentation", "A Window on Asian Cinema", "New Currents", "Korean Cinema Today", "Korean Cinema Retrospective", "World Cinema", "Flash Forward", "Open Cinema", "Special Program in Focus", "Midnight Passion", "Busan Classic", "Market Section" as well as ceremonies commemorating Korean cinema practitioners.

The festival is slated for October 4-13, 2018.
