Restoration of 50 historical houses in Isfahan started

"Immediate restoration operations of 50 historical houses in Isfahan province, has been started since about one week ago. These houses are mainly located in Isfahan city, but historical houses in some of the counties of Isfahan province such as Kashan, Ardestan, and eastern part of Isfahan like Harand, and Koohpayeh are also included in this project," said Fariba Khatabakhsh, the head of Preservation and Restoration Group of Cultural Heritage Organization of Isfahan Province.

Isfahsn (IMNA) - Expressing that the immediate restoration of Mosavar Al-Maleki, Seyrafi, Banoo Amin, Ardehal, Asadi, Moneeyan, Fazlullah Abdar, Sabagh Harandi, Masoudi, Saberi, Amin, Baqaee, Akrami, and Safa'i houses are prioritized, she added "Each of the houses need different types of restoration; they may require roof, ceiling, door, or windows restorations and paintings, but about 80% of the roofs restorations must be accomplished before the scheduled time."


"These houses are restored with a cooperative credit; this means that all of these houses have private owners and they do not belong to the Cultural Heritage Organization. Therefore, the restoration project is a collaborative action; so, the owner and the Cultural Heritage Organization pay for the restoration collaboratively," Khatabakhsh said.
 

"One billion and three hundred and thirty million Toman credit is determined by the Cultural Heritage Organization to restore these houses; 20 to 30 million Toman is also needed for each house depending on the workload," she said.
