Mayor of Isfahan to attend the international session of creative cities

The mayor of Isfahan will attend the international session of creative cities of the world which is going to be held in Krakow, Poland during the current week.

Isfahan (IMNA)_ “By drawing close to the National Handicrafts Day, we will attend the international session of creative cities of the world in Krakow, Poland during the current week, we hope that this session will bring great achievements for the artists in the handicrafts field,” Nowroozi said.
 

Stating that the creative cities network was formed in order to strengthen the international inter-city interactions, the mayor of Isfahan said: “At this time, 180 cities of the world are the members of this network. Isfahan as one of the creative cities in the field of handicrafts, is also a member of this network.”
 

Stating that the creative cities network covers 7 fields, the mayor of Isfahan said: “The city of Isfahan is known as the creative city in UNESCO in the handicrafts and folk arts fields. Therefore, we hope that the adequate context will be provided by developing the international cooperation in order to use the experiences of the members of creative cities network in the field of handicrafts, folk arts, and traditional arts. And also take more advantages of creativity and innovation through interdisciplinary approaches.”
 

“The Isfahan municipality, on the one hand, seeks to provide entrepreneurial economy to develop job creation especially in the fields of industry. On the other hand, it is trying to have urban marketing to attract more tourists. Undoubtedly, the collection of these efforts can develop the creative industries in the city of Isfahan,” he said.
 

The mayor of Isfahan considered the session as a welcome opportunity for developing urban marketing in the creative cities network. He hopes that his attendance will be effective for the handicraft industry of the city and the active people in this field.
