Isfahan (IMNA)_“ After the intentional burning of Chehel Sotoun palace in Sarhang Abad during the month of March, efforts were made with an optimal planning in order to restart the restoration operations to protect other parts of the palace,” Fereydoun Allahyari, the head of Isfahan’s cultural heritage, handicrafts, and tourism organization said.
“In the first phase of restoration operations of this palace in 2018, the restoration and reconstruction of the whole roof of the palace, as well as the mezzanine of the main hall in the center of the palace will be carried out,” he said. One billion Rials is dedicated for the restoration and reconstruction of the palace in the first phase,” he said.
“As the fire of 2 month ago have seriously damaged the wooden parts of this palace, we are trying to have a detailed plan regarding the implementation of a fire proof technology for wooden piles of Chehel Sotoun in Sarhang Abad along with the execution of restoration plans,” Allahyari noted.
